Yacht Rock

Ok -- every now and then you come across hilarious and fabulous things on the world wide web.

I was reading one my regular blogs a few weeks back and found a link to this site: http://www.reallysmoothmusic.com/

From there I learned all about Yacht Rock. Being the music junkie that I am, it made me laugh out loud at its cleverness.

I'm going to get you started with Episode One.

I've thought on this a lot and I can't come up with a definitive favourite episode -- though Episode 3 which outlines Loggin's descent to the dark side with the help of Steve Perry from Journey is up there -- as is Episode 4 that explains Toto's song "Rosanna" -- and I'd be remiss to leave out Episode 5 where Loggins and MacDonald make amends to ensure Micheal Jackson stays smooth. Last but not least, if you have a hankering for Van Halen, check out Episode 9.
