Most of you must know that I'm in Regina for a visit. Apparently I brought the cold. I arrived last Wednesday night and it's been cold and snowy since I arrived. Thursday, Friday and Saturday were spent doing the usual: errands, shopping, visiting... and planning a baby shower. Saturday night I went to a "tacky tropical party" dressed in turtle neck sweater, jeans and lei. I stuck out like a sore thumb. I got to catch up with a few people I haven't seen in ages and it was kind of like high school all over again except for the fact that I was sitting there wishing I had an eloquent excuse to leave. I just wasn't in the mood for such festivities. I did get to visit with some people I hadn't seen in a long long time and that was enjoyable. Sunday was the baby shower and in my humble opinion, the shower was a success! There are new pictures to be seen at http://underwood-baby.blogspot.com/.
Anyone who knows my family will know that they are all a bunch of freaky night owls -- so naturally, since arriving, the earliest I have gotten to bed is 4AM (sure enough I am writing this at 4:07AM local time). I don't think I have ever been so tired. Ever. Today was the day to get back on track and I slept most of it -- felt very refreshed when I woke up at 4:30PM after a 3 hour nap. The problem with an afternoon nap -- well, I am still wide awake right now, that's what!
Must try to get myself to sleep.
Don't worry AO and Neil, I'll probably come home next Saturday. I know you both must be missing me horribly (heehee).
Oh, I just thought I should add that I have watched 2 movies since arriving... You, Me and Dupree -- hands down the worst movie I have seen in a long time. If you're ever going to listen to one thing I tell you: avoid, avoid, avoid this movie. Tess, my mom and I should go on some Stan and Kenny-like quest to get our money back from Owen Wilson. I want my $5.99 back.
The other movie we watched was John Tucker Must Die. Not as bad, but not good either.
AO? Is there something or someone I should know???
AO is my Aunt O. She just loves having me in Ontario. I stop by for free meals, do my laundry for free at their place, I entertain them with my witty witticisms. So naturally, they must be missing me like mad!
