On the job front

Tagged:

Mr. Neil has yet another job interview. The University of Toronto made contact with him on Friday. Mr. Neil just needs to set up an interview time.

More info will follow.

Heads up to our Ontario relatives. You may wish to run and take cover and/or change your addresses.

I love the hockey playoffs...

Yesterday it poured pretty much all day until 4:30PM (then the sun came out). It was the perfect setting for a " lazy day". Neil made us Eggs Benny's for breakfast and we sat on the couch and yelled at the TV all day. Don't you just love the NHL playoffs. I got off the couch to make supper later that evening and then right back I went -- to watch Calgary win (BOO!). The day up until that had been great! We watched Ottawa advance (YAY!) and Edmonton take a 3-2 lead in their series against Detroit (AWESOME!). I've thought a lot of where my dislike for Calgary stems from and I think it all can be traced back to my sister. When she left Regina for Calgary I listened to her drone on and on about how wonderful Calgary was...

I can clearly see Calgary for what it is... It is Regina, with more rednecks and better shopping. Why else do people go there? Ok, some stop for a rest on their way to the Rockies. Other than that, I'm sure the majority of the tourists are from Saskatchewan. Is there anything wrong with this? No, but it does not make a city great! Then there are the Flames, they have a good goalie (yes) and Iginla is a great player but... I don't know, I'd much rather see Roloston prove his worth, see Pronger and Pecca thrive in the playoffs, and see Mr. Ryan Smyth, whom my friend's hairstylist's, brother's, nieces's, best friend's aunt knows -- see I have a connection! -- win a Stanley Cup. **Kenr that was for you ;) ** Not to mention I know a handful of people that my "Calgary trashtalking" will bug -- hee hee --

Now now, relax, I myself venture into Cowtown to visit friends usually once or twice a year. I don't hate it, I just don't understand the obsession some have about it's suppposed greatness.
