Last night Neil and I ventured out to the Molson Ampitheatre to take in a fantastic show -- Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. We were amused by the very weird crowd assembled. There was quite a mix of young and old, burn outs, potheads, moms/dads, teenagers and rockers. Needless to say, the crowd at times was very entertaining!
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, sounded really really good.
Here's a you tube (not mine) from last night -- I have a bunch of short video clips, but in true Special K form, my camera batteries were dead 5 minutes into the show and apparently my back-up batteries don't hold a charge anymore because they were dead too...
Here's a few of my clips (I apologize in advance because I am sure you can hear me singing along in them...):

He played for 2 hours, and just as he came out for the encore, it started pouring. Of course, we didn't have "covered" seats so we got soaked to the bone. After the show we waited 20 minutes in the rain for a street car to come -- finally gave up and decided to walk, so we walked another 40 minutes in the rain to Front Street and caught the subway - so it was really an adventure. Would we do it again? For Tommy P, definitely!
