Is ignorance bliss?
N and I often wonder.... It would seem that everyone these days has an opinion about everything. The problem, however, is that so many have absolutely no idea what they are talking about, thus rendering their ideas ridiculous. Maybe to be completely uninformed and unaware is the way to go. By keeping your head up your ass, you can't possibly lose any sleep over the seemingly endless surplus of stupidity that is constantly rearing its ugly head all around us.
Watching the Rick Mercer Report this week, we agreed with Rick's Rant 100%. People need to take their heads out of their asses and actually think before they speak or vote. Pick up a book, read/watch a reputable news source (or 2 or 3), and be able to back your ideas up without resorting to whining, crying, and/or name-calling. Get informed!
I didn't know he did these rants, they're great (though the movement made me a little nauseated)!!
And yeah, the number of callers we had during that time was astounding and the number of people who had no idea what they were talking about was even more insane. It's a little worrisome that these are the people who are voting.
Ahh Mr. Mercer. He does a rant every week on his show. His rants are usually pretty astute. He does, however, work for the CBC and from some of your comments I've gotten the impression you are not a fan???
