It's cold outside but it's warm in here!

Let me start by saying that a bottle of Prosecco has been pried open... and well, I've had a few Paralyzers... so I apologize if this post has a bad spelling and improper grammar.

The Riders advance to the Western Final! WOO HOO!! There is another bottle of Prosecco in the fridge ready for next weekend. Both games were good -- have I mentioned that I love the CFL? I thought my heart was going to stop after that first short kick in the final minutes of the Rider game.

See the tickets above. Neil and I were there in 2004 when the Riders made it to the Western Final. It was in Vancouver against the Lions and the Riders lost in a heart breaker (by 2 points after kicker Paul McCallum missed a last minute field goal attempt -- end result was fury in Regina -- I believe someone dumped manure on McCallum's neighbour's lawn... oops!). Then there was last year's Western Final, Riders Vs Lions in Vancouver; the Riders get creamed 45-18.

Call me crazy, and believe me, I realize the boys are banged up, but I just feel it in my bones that THIS IS THE YEAR. Maybe I just want it to be, who knows. I'd love to be able to experience a Grey Cup with the Riders.

Here's hoping. Grey Cup tickets arrived on Friday. I'm so totally stoked.

Back to today:
N and I would have loved to be at the game today but there is something to be said from watching the game at home in HD. We wore our green and white, had cheap booze and food at our disposal, and while I can't claim to break the sound barrier or anything, I'm sure my screaming and cursing at the screen was unappreciated by our neighbours. And I love our TV -- sports in HD is so awesome: crystal clear, great colour and close-ups - zeroed in on the action. I'm even 50% certain I spotted my brothers??? maybe??

Here's the view from home -- pretty cozy for CFL football in outdoor stadiums in November. Hey -- I'm getting old... so there!

Here's the big question though. Should N and I go to the Eastern Final next weekend knowing there is zero chance of being home in time for the start of the Rider game. I realize that we can just tape the start, fast forward through the commercials until we are caught up with real time, but I can't help feeling a bit like I'd be letting the team down. 'Cause they depend so much on our loyal viewership! Aww, how I revel in my lameness.

Here's the question: The Eastern Final: To go or not to go. Your answers will decide it for us -- answer in the comments.

Actually -- That's not us. We were about 5 rows up from those folks with the sign!! ...we were that close to the field!!!

It was super fantastic awesome-o 3000!!!!!!!!!!

What a game, my throat still hurts from taunting henry and those horrible fricken refs.

Oh ya, and nobody cares about the east!!!

GO RIDERS!!!

I love everything about this post. Especially because I'm sitting here trying to drink coffee with a hangover and sore stomach from too many chicken wings.

Stay home and watch the boys on TV.

I believe at some point last night we devised a plan to get the cats jerseys......
