Lots to be thankful for...

Another Thanksgiving has passed and once again I got out of having to cook a turkey!!  I really wish I could embrace my domestic side but alas it is not meant to be!  My mother-in-law, sister-in-law and niece all made the trek to Toronto for the long weekend.  They were more than happy to enjoy a few days of a spectacularly beautiful Ontario autumn.  Have a peek for yourself -- what would you choose:  a stunning sunshine-filled day walking along the banks of Lake Ontario or shoveling the snow off the driveway??  I know what I'd pick!

 Along the lake.
A scene from my Mom and Dad's backyard.
With my inlaws in town, we were out and about the whole weekend.   We took in a Harbour Tour (I got some awesome shots of the Toronto Skyline from out on the lake).
We took my niece to the Toronto Zoo.  The Toronto Zoo was only ok.  It is extremely expensive for 4 adults (some wanting to be there more than others... ahem, Uncle N) and one free toddler but we did get some awesome views of the animals.  Still, I know we won't  go back anytime soon.

And, we visited several playgrounds around the neighbourhood.  N and I really enjoyed getting to spend some quality time with our niece Ashley.  Uncle N really took a shine to "nap time" and "play time".

Back in Saskatchewan, we were thrilled to hear that little Ollie (our newest nephew) was out of the hospital and doing better.  Here he is with his mommy (who should learn to pick up a phone and call her sister!!!!!)

So let's do a quick tally.

Thankful for:
  • not having to cook a turkey
  • visits from family
  • amazing fall weather
  • cute, wonderful and healthy nieces & nephews
Life is good.

Now if only the Riders can start to gel as they get some of their injured players back.  Grey Cup tickets have arrived (no fiasco anticipated... unlike last year).  We've rented an apartment in Montreal.  We are ready for a repeat boys!
