Every time I go home I find myself stealing recipes from N's mom.  Truth is, I am a terrible cook.  Some people find pleasure and joy in working with food -- I am always looking for the fastest way to vacate my kitchen.  Still, I find myself getting bored with making the same things over and over.  That is why I decided that this was the year I was going to try a little harder and learn to cook some new food.

When I got home, I realized that I have a lot of recipes scribbled down on various bits of paper.  Some sticking out cookbooks, some just littered throughout my kitchen.  I decided I wanted to make an electronic file to store them on my laptop.  So, I opened MS Word and was about to type when I decided to check the web for something a bit better.

What I found was:  wegottaeat.com

It's a site that allows you to manage your recipes online.  It has a very easy format for typing up your recipes and better still -- you can save a back-up file of your recipes that is readable in a word processor like Microsoft Word so that if you ever did want to print out your recipes you could.  It also allows you to search for new recipes and add them to your online recipe book as favourites.

I've only started using it and have just 5 recipes typed in but I think it is a great idea so check it out!  If you decide to check it out -- search for me, I'm listed as most-special-k.

Also, if you have any, "even a complete bonehead could make this," awesome recipes to share with me that would be great!
